His practice covers a broad range of property types, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, hotel, resort/hospitality, and mixed-use developments, encompasses all phases of the real estate development process, including land acquisition, construction, protective covenants, servitude/easement agreements, leasing, government economic incentives, joint ventures, and much more. He is a licensed title insurance agent, and is authorized to write title policies for First American Title Insurance Company of Louisiana and Chicago Title Insurance Company.

Brett began his career in the business group of Kean Miller, LLP, a large regional law firm. In 2008, Brett resigned his partnership to become the President of U.S. Radiology Partners, Inc., a regional radiology and teleradiology management company. In January of 2013, a national teleradiology company purchased U.S. Radiology Partners, Inc. After spending some time with his family, Brett joined Alexander Sides in June of 2013. In 2023, Brett left Alexander Sides to start his own firm. Prior to attending law school, Brett was a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG in Houston, Texas. His focus was on the oil and gas industry.

Brett’s practice focuses on corporate, business, and real estate law, including complex commercial and industrial real estate matters. Brett also has experience in specialized transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and corporate financing.

Brett received his Bachelor's of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1991.

He received his J.D. from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1997, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review.
